Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C. Celebrates 30 Years

Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C. (BWB), a regional certified public accounting firm is celebrating its 30th year in the Jamestown community. BWB was originally founded by Francis J. Weinaug in Olean, New York in 1971. With steady growth, the firm opened a second office in Jamestown, New York in 1978. In 1993, BWB merged with the firm of John F. Whipple, Jr., CPA. In February 1999, GFC Business Systems, a full-service payroll company providing payroll services to clients around the country, was acquired. In August 2004 the firm formed the multi-faceted business and consulting affiliate, The Vineyard Group LLC. “Our firm’s continued growth can be attributed to the expertise and extensive experience of our staff, along with the firm’s strong commitment to its clients, and the region’s business community,” stated Kristy Zabrodsky, a Director of BWB. In December of 2007, Southwestern New York’s largest CPA firm, Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C. (BWB) announced a combination of practices with Lloyd and Company, C.P.A., P.C. Lloyd and Company has roots in Jamestown dating back to 1922 when it was originally formed by the international firm BDO Seidman. Seidman partners bought the Jamestown practice and formed Lloyd and Company, C.P.A., P.C. in 1989. They focused on serving clients in the areas of rural electric co-operatives, healthcare, not-for-profits and governments. A full-service accounting firm with more than fifty professional staff members, including twenty-five CPA’s, BWB provides wide-ranging assistance in the areas of Accounting, Auditing, Tax, and Advisory Services. The firm also provides Payroll Services through GFC Business Systems and Management Advisory Services through its affiliate consulting firm the Vineyard Group, LLC, BWB possesses special expertise in government entities and non-profit organizations, as well as several well developed niches in for-profit industries, including manufacturing and insurance.
