Sonja Johnson, CPA, was recently promoted to supervisor in the Jamestown office of the certified public accounting firm Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C. (BWB), according to Chad Madden, CPA, Shareholder.

Ms. Johnson earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the State University of New York College at Fredonia in 1996. She joined the firm in 1999. Ms. Johnson exhibits a wide base of experience in accounting and auditing of various industries and non-profit organizations. Her primary specialty deals with property and casualty insurance companies. Her experience in the industry includes preparation of N.A.I.C. annual and quarterly reports, examination of statutory financial statements, and preparation of federal tax returns.

Ms. Johnson is involved in a variety of community activities as well as serving as the treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Mayville, New York. She works primarily from the firm’s 5th street Jamestown location and resides in Bemus Point, New York.
