Lee Giardini, CPA, of Allegany, has been promoted to manager of the tax department at the Olean office of certified public accounting firm Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro (BWB), P.C., 125 S. Union St.

The announcement was made by Thomas Buffamante, CPA, president and partner of BWB.

Mr. Giardini, who has more than 10 years of experience in accounting, specializes in tax matters, particularly the preparation of corporate, partnership, individual, limited liability company, and fiduciary tax returns, including multi-state tax returns. In addition, Mr. Giardini assists businesses and individuals with tax planning and projections.

He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and concentrated studies in economics. He also is a graduate of the former Allegany Central School.
