David DiTanna, CPA, CIA, CGFM, a partner in the certified public accounting firm Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C. (BWB) of Olean and Jamestown, has been named a Certified Internal Auditor by the Institute of Internal auditors based in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

The Certified Internal Auditor designation is warded to audit professionals who have met the program's requirements, including a four-part examination.

In 2005, Mr. DiTanna also earned the designation of Certified Government Financial Manager.

"BWB is committed to quality and these designations will further enhance our ability to service our clients in today's environment," Mr. DiTanna said.

In 2002, he was recognized as one of Buffalo Business First's "Forty Under 40" honorees.

He is a St. Bonaventure University graduate.

Mr. DiTanna lives in Portville with his wife, Karen, and their son, Fred.
